Summer Basketball is coming for the first time at JR NBA / FCO Basketball. Now is the time to register! Registration opens on 03/17/2025 and closes on 05/15/2025! The league is available for players 3-18 years old. The eligibility age is determined based on the player’s age as of 12/31/2024.

Note: Players who play for school teams in 8th grade or below can participate in this league. So no reason not to register for both! 

Currently we are planning an 8 game season (No Tournament).

During the Summer 2025 season all divisions will be Co-Ed.

We will be registering for the following age groups 3/4, 5/6, 7/8, 9/10 11-14 Middle School and 15-18 High School. The make-up of age groups could change depending upon the number of players registered in each age group.

All players who sign up will be placed on a team.

All registrations will be taken online this season through the FCO website at www.ferncreekoptimist.org starting on March 17th, 2025.

Deadline for registration is Thursday, May 15th, 2025.

Evaluations / Tryouts / Drafts will be held on Saturday, May 17th, 2025 for all players 7-18 years old. Tryouts are scheduled at Evangel World Prayer Centers - High School Gymnasium at 6900 Billtown Road Louisville, KY 40299. Times TBA

3-6 year old's do not tryout and will be placed on a team. They will practice before each of their scheduled games.

Practices will start the week of May 26th, 2025 and we will practice a second week June 2nd, 2025 before games start on Saturday, June 7th, 2025. All Practices for 7-18 year old's will be held at the Evangel Gymnasium. Each team will have a one-hour practice on a weekday evening (most likely on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Fridays). Once your practice is set they will remain the same throughout the season.

FEES: Registration fee for 7-18 year old's is $140 per player; and fee for 3/4 & 5/6 year old's is $100 per player.

NOTE: If more than 2 siblings in a family participate (defined as blood relatives living in the same household), the family will receive a $25.00 discount cost for the 3rd, 4th, 5th player, etc… .).
