Basketball Information

Fern Creek Optimist Club is currently looking forward to the start of our Winter 2024-2025 League.

Online Registration is scheduled to open up on October 1st, 2024.

Note: Players who play for school teams in 8th grade or below can participate in this league. So no reason not to register for both!

Depending upon the numbers of registrations age groups are 3/4, 5/6, 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14 & 15-18 year old's. The past few years our numbers have been such that we have played (11-14YO Middle School) and a (15-18YO High School) age grouping. The make-up of age groups could change depending upon the number of players registered in each age group.

All players who sign up will be placed on a team.

All registrations will be taken online this season through the FCO website at www.ferncreekoptimist.org.

FEES: Registration fee's for 3/4 and 5/6 year old's is $100 per player and all older players from 7/8 thru 17/18 year old's is $140.00 per player..
NOTE: If more than 2 siblings in a family (defined as blood relatives living in the same household) participate, the family will receive a $25 discount for the 3rd, 4th, 5th player, etc… child.

Game Entry Fee's: as always we will be charging a gate fee for the upcoming season to watch your children at play. This applies to all observers who are 18YO and Older. The fee going forward will be increased to $3.00 for the 2024-2025 season.

COACHES / ASSISTANT COACHES: If you are interested in volunteering to be a coach or assistant, please mark the appropriate section on the registration form.

NEW League Director: a long-time and current coach at FCO Basketball has stepped up and will be taking over going forward as the League Director of FCO Basketball. His name is Mr. Keith Ferriell, he can be reached at [email protected] or (502-759-2700). He can be reached with questions regarding FCO Basketball starting October 1, 2024.
